Syringa vulgaris „Sumerki”

High winter hardiness! New shoots and buds do not freeze even in severe winters.
It grows well in sunny and also partially shady places. Shrub height is about 4 meters, width 2.5 m. The crown is wide and relatively rare. Flower buds are purple-violet.
The colour of the flowers at the beginning of flowering is distinctly bright magenta red to bluish-purple. VERY RARE COLOR!
The flowers are large, very fragrant, dark, bloom from mid-May to June. Petals are round with sharper lighter ends. Inflorescences are pyramidal, medium, stable, and open.
The word "Sumerki" in Russian means “Twilight”.
It blooms abundantly from mid-May to early June.
