Syringa Hyacintiflora ''Royal Purple''
Skinner, 1966, Canada
It is enough to see it once and the variety will be remembered for life. The large, stuffed purple flowers consist of 3 crowns; the petals are narrow, pointed. The upper crown is often not full, consists of 2-3 petals and opens the last, so for a while you can see a bright purple knot in the centre of the flower. Inflorescences are large, elongated. Shrubs are of medium size.
